Color Me Absent

So … yeah. It’s been a while 😬 Like 2.5 years since the last post.

But, like I said in the beginning, I am not a writer & have a full life outside this site. Irregular updates are the norm around here.

Anyways … a few weeks ago I ran across a post on Twitter showing some photos of a Universal Monsters Coloring Book from 1991. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to gush a bit and retweet it, because I have this coloring book!

My mention of scanning the book and posting the pages online got a pretty good response. So, later that day, I dug out some of the other coloring books I have (to post a pic) and the good responses grew!

So, here we are! Posting coloring books!

This wasn’t a project I planned on necessarily but, I’ve always saved these unused coloring pages with the intention to scan & print them for my own kids to color. Why not share the love?

As you might imagine, putting these together takes a bit of time. So, I’ll be posting the books one at a time, as I work on them. The first post, featuring the Universal Monsters coloring book will be up very shortly.

In the meantime, I wanted to point out that there are quite a few coloring books available on Archive.org, free to download & print. I’ve linked to some choice 80’s & 90’s selections below. Enjoy!
